Sketching Game: Cartoon Heads on Commuter Bodies

October Jones plays a fun sketching on the train. Just add cartoon heads on sticky notes and photograph them superimposed over the subject. Instant superhero!

Thanks, Greg Shea

Thank you for posting that. Its hilarious and inspiring in a refreshing way.
First laugh of the day feels great when its about art.

Very funny! This might even take more guts then sketching in public. I looked at October's web page, but didn't dig deep enough to find out if the heads are sketched on the spot or if a selection is pre-fabbed and brought along on each excursion. Do you happen to know?

Colors are a perfect fit: green head to green quilted jacket, red to red; even a double row of grey to grey seated there, with Road Runner and accompanying Coyote :o)

Almost too perfect IMO. Don't think this has been done spontaneously on the spot.
Nice job though;-)

Oh great idea! Bad idea if you're driving. So keep your eyes on the road please. Got to try that on a long trip when I'm not doing the driving. But then I might get car sick ....hummmmmm........
